Alice + Olivia's 1950s Flashback
Alice + Olivia designer Stacy Bendet had mid-century styles on her mind when she sketched out her spring 2013 collection. Spanning the late 1950s to early 1960s, Bendet’s lineup featured full skirts in pop art primary shades, mod A-line shifts in cheery brights, and boxy jackets closed at the collar with chatelaine brooches. Further proof of the collection’s retro appeal: Elisabeth Moss of “Mad Men” fame was in attendance, making her way through the presentation in a black and gold mini dress worthy of a modern-day Peggy Olson.
