We found celebrity stylist and fashion guru Phillip Bloch ashe was being shooed away from standing too close to the artwork: "They couldhave just politely asked me to move instead of waving at me!" Still recoveringfrom Fashion's Night Out, he shared a few pointers for surviving Fashion Week.Besides striving for the unattainable full night of sleep and keeping a goodattitude, "Be prepared," he told ARTINFO. "I always set up my outfits way inadvance because time is money. Time is the thing we don’t have a lot of inlife." Anticipating two to three wardrobe changes a day, Bloch made sure tohave each one lined up a week ago.

Czech supermodel Karolina Kurkova was there in a silversuit, though not to buy art; apparently she needs to wait until she moves intoa bigger house. "I don't have a place to put my art," she told ARTINFO. "Thereare not a lot of walls where I live right now." And how does she recommend onemake it through Fashion Week? "Carry good snacks, like nuts, protein bars, andalmond butter," she told us, with accompanying slurping sounds and hand motionsto demonstrate the extraction of almond butter from an individual packet. "Haveyour Metrocard ready," too, she told us, because God knows how long you’ll bewaiting for a cab. (Additional tip for the common folk: watch out forsupermodels underground.) "I just took the subway today!" she said.

Other big names in fashion circulated the gallery floors toperuse the artwork, and it appeared that sparkles were a major trend for theevening. Julia Restoin-Roitfeld was star-studded, in a star-patterned black dress, while Nicky Hilton's Emporio Armani sequined bustierglittered like a mirrorball. New Yorknightlife fixture Malik So Chic ogled the paintings through his signature hugeglasses, this time bejeweled, and It girl Sky Ferreira looked positivelydoll-like in a high-collared dress lined in black gauze at the hem. The man ofthe hour, Richard Hambleton, made an appearance, although inexplicably with abandaged nose. At the end of the reception, the glitterati migrated downtown tothe afterparty at Indochine. Filled to capacity, the entire club was vibrating, even through the windows.
