Messe Schweiz, the parent company of the Art Basel and Art Basel Miami Beach fairs, has announced the resignation of Cay Sophie Rabinowitz, artistic director for both fairs, effective immediately. The fair has also given each of Rabinowitz's former co-directors, Annette Schönholzer (formerly director of operations and finance) and Marc Spiegler (formerly director of strategy and development), the title of co-director, Art Basel and Art Basel Miami Beach.

Art 39 Basel takes place June 4–8, 2008, and Art Basel Miami Beach December 4–7, 2008.
