“Unseated: Contemporary Chairs Re-imagined,” an exhibition featuring innovative design concepts for chairs will run through May 7, 2017, at the Denver Art Museum.

The selection on display looks at the wide range of materials and techniques used by the contemporary designers to create new designs for the ever-present piece of furniture, the chair. The methods adopted by the designers in the exhibit are a combination of handcraftsmanship and digital production. The processes include melting, wrapping, and molding to sculpting with math and technology. The exhibition is on view at the museum for the first time and reflects the diversity and innovative cutting-edge techniques used in design globally.

The exhibition is on view at the Denver Art Museum, 100 W 14th Ave Pkwy, Denver, CO 80204, USA.
