On Wednesday, May 23rd, 2012, Sotheby’s is honoured to present for sale a selection of outstanding artworks from The Gunter Sachs Collection. This avant-garde collection of art, objects and furniture will stand as a lasting testament to the extraordinary life and visionary art collection of the late Gunter Sachs. The Day Sale will span numerous collecting categories, from Nouveau Realism to 20th Century design and Graffiti.  Highlights in the Day Sale include wonderful examples by Jean Fautrier, Günter Uecker, Victor Vasarely, Gaston Chiassac and George Mathieu, as well as important pre and post-war furniture.
